Freediving | Yoga | Coral Conservation
Oh, now we are excited about this one. After many years in the making, we have put together a collaboration we feel proud of, this time in Raja Ampat with Katembe Private Island Resort. This retreat is a special one- it blends our normal freedive lifestyle blueprint with some serious coral restoration.
Raja Ampat isn’t just another dive spot—it’s the crown jewel of the Coral Triangle and one of the most breathtaking places on Earth to freedive. Crystal-clear water, endless reef systems, and a bounty of marine life make every descent feel like stepping into a BBC Documentary. But it’s more than beauty—Raja Ampat is also a global hotspot for coral conservation, where protecting reefs is just as important as exploring them. Freediving here means not only connecting deeply with the ocean, but also witnessing and supporting efforts to keep this underwater paradise thriving for generations to come.
Our mission is pretty straightforward: get you feeling at home in the water, challenge you just enough to walk away proud, and make freediving feel less like a test and more like second nature. Think relaxed, safe, and way more doable than you might imagine. And here’s the twist—we don’t just dive for ourselves. We also bring freediving into coral restoration, so your practice isn’t only about personal growth, but about giving back to the reefs that give us so much. Our crew is a colorful mix of freedivers, yogis, ocean geeks, and passionate teachers who know that the most meaningful progress happens when you feel supported, inspired, and part of something bigger than yourself.
This retreat is for everyone—whether your relationship with the ocean is diving deep or just double-tapping beach photos. Beginners? Honestly, they’re our absolute favorite to work with. We’re not here to tally depths or times; what matters most is the reset freediving gives you: the calm in your breath, the clarity in your mind, and a grounded confidence you’ll carry long after you leave the water.
What Will You Learn?
In all of our retreats, we go beyond “hold your breath and look at fish.” We dig into the kind of practices that actually make life on land feel better, too. Think:
Techniques to handle stress, sleep better, and stop arguing with your own expectations.
Tuning into your body and breath so you’re not just surviving dives—or your work week.
Practical strategies for navigating learning plateaus (because yes, they happen to everyone).
Neuroconservation—aka how freediving can make you care about the ocean in a way that sticks, and how that ripple effect feeds into sustainability.
Coral Restoration. How to use all of our new superpowers listed above to give back to the ocean (more on that below).
2 Day Coral Restoration Workshop
As part of this retreat, you’ll also dive into the world of coral restoration—literally. We’ll introduce you to the basics of coral ecology, why reefs are so vital, and how freediving gives us a unique way to care for them. You’ll get hands-on experience with practices like maintaining coral nurseries, planting fragments, and monitoring reef health, all while learning how even small actions underwater can make a big impact over time. The best part? You don’t need to be a scientist to help—just curiosity, respect for the ocean, and the ability to hold your breath. It’s about blending personal growth with ocean stewardship, so that every dive not only brings you calm and confidence, but also leaves the sea a little healthier than before.
